Hypertension is a condition characterized by elevated blood pressure that may cause complications in various organs, including the heart, kidneys, blood vessels, and nervous system. This final scientific paper aims to provide nursing care through warm water foot soaking therapy and back massage to address impaired comfort related to pain in a hypertensive patient at Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital, Pekanbaru. A case study was conducted on Mrs. K, who had a two-year history of hypertension. The assessment revealed dizziness, weakness, numbness in the toes, and persistent pain in the back of the head, neck, and nape for three days, accompanied by difficulty sleeping. The pain intensity was rated at 6. Vital signs showed a blood pressure of 200/100 mmHg, pulse rate of 84 beats/minute, respiratory rate of 20 breaths/minute, and body temperature of 36.6°C. The patient's height was 160 cm, and weight was 70 kg. Following the implementation of warm water foot soaking therapy and back massage, the evaluation showed reduced pain complaints and improved comfort. These interventions may be considered supportive nursing therapies for hypertensive patients experiencing pain, alongside regular blood pressure monitoring and appropriate medical management.
