Abstract

Pneumonia is a form of acute respiratory infection that attacks the lungs caused by microorganisms. When someone suffers from pneumonia, the alveoli are filled with pus and fluid, which makes breathing painful and limits oxygen intake. due to pneumonia and this figure is one of the largest contributors to death in children aged 1-5 years in the world. The purpose of this scientific work is to provide nursing care to Pneumonia patients by providing balloon blowing therapy for nursing problems of shortness of breath at Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru Regional Hospital. At the time of the assessment, An.A complained of still having shortness of breath, Body weakness, with vital signs BP: 130/70 mmHg, Pulse: 80 x / minute, RR: 26 x / minute, temperature: 36.5 C, saturation: 97%, attached nasal cannula oxygen 2 liters. The implementation carried out by researchers on An.A's problem is by providing balloon blowing therapy. From the analysis of the case in the patient, it was found that shortness of breath was reduced after being given balloon blowing therapy. An.A is expected to repeat balloon blowing therapy if she experiences shortness of breath
